What Book Blogging As Taught Me So Far

So I've been book blogging since August and I sure as hell learned a lot.

Without further ado here's my list. By the way, I love list, as you can most probably tell by this post.

• How to use/make gmail and gmail chat
  

• How to make/use blogger

• Do schedule posting on blogger! weeee
  

• How to do a little (and I stress little) bit of HTML. See look here I embed my first video!

• Book Bloggers are awesome

• How awesome authors are

• That there are really nice people out there

• How to speed read
  

• How stressful it is having a book blogging, even though it seems that I don't update a lot

• Its very important to email replies back really quick

• Naming the publishers of YA books by simply knowing the title

• Getting feedback through comments makes me feel all warm and fuzzy

• How to use a MySpace (although I rarely use it)

• How to make/use a FaceBook (although I rarely use it)

• That I pretty much suck at going on social networking sites like MySpace and FaceBook

• I tend to make random post like these every time I'm procrastinating!

You Know Your A Book Blogger Reviewer When....

• Your friend asks you what you want for Christmas, and you ask for a book, and chances are the books you want is not even out yet (true story, happened to me)

• You receive a book the first thing you check, after the title and author, is the publisher house.

• You've spoken to an author

• You actually read author blogs regularly
  

• You most probably had to explain to someone what an ARC is, at least once
  

• You spend more time reading book and author blogs then any other website

• Your goal over any holiday break is to read a certain amount of books, that makes your friends give you a weird look

• You know about a books waaaaay before it's release date

• You enjoy the Waiting on Wednesdays post a little too much

• You hope you can do In My Mailbox every week
  

• Jump up and down whenever you see a yellow manila envelope at your door (...or maybe that's just me)
  

• You find yourself doing random posts like these as a result of procrastinating, when you should be writing a review

About the Blog & Me

I'm a teenage girl and I one of the biggest book lovers, you'll ever meet. I'm that annoying person, who would stop anyone who has a book in hand and ask the book's title, author, and etc.


I started this blog in August of 2008 to review Young Adult books, after having already reading and reviewing books for Book Divas, Harper Teen First Look, and Simon Pulse. My main motivation to actually start the blog and host it here on blogspot was to get other people's insight about their feelings about books. Like I mentioned before, I'm one of those annoying people who want to know your every thoughts about books. (Like would have been so much easier if I had some super freaky power when I can conjure up people's thoughts.)



I love blogging, I love books, and most of all I love hearing other people's thought about them.



However, this blog is not just an book blog. You might also find ransom post by me. Yes, I realize my site is called YA Book Realm. But the only justification I can give is, I'm a Young Adult, who for the most part can have similar if not exactly the same problems of a book character? (I don't think that makes sense? Oh well) Plus, it feels nice quite nice venting to people who can relate. =)
