Waiting On Wednesday

WINGS by Aprilynne Pike

Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful--too beautiful for words.

Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings.

Aprilynne Pike's Wings is the first of four books about a seemingly ordinary girl named Laurel who discovers she is a faerie sent among humans to guard the gateway to Avalon. When Laurel is thrust into the midst of a centuries-old battle between faeries and trolls, she's torn between a human and a faerie love, as well as her loyalties to each world. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever.

So usually, I'm not into the whole faerie/fairy books. And when i saw this book around the blogosphere I didn't give it much thought, I didn't even read the description. But then I saw the author video (below) and I REALLY REALLY wanted to read it, now that I actually know what it was about. Too bad I have to wait awhile to read it. =(

Totally random, but I love the shade of her lipstick.

Her lipstick is pretty, but I don't think I could pull it off! Dark colors and I do not mix :/

  5. See, the video does want to make you read it more. Hehe, yeah the mention of intense guys may be one of the reasons why I wanted to read it even more. *bats eyelash*

And yeah I can't pull dark lipstick either. I usually wear purple/pinkish kinds if any. But that color is niceee.
